System Restore Not Working Error 0X8007007B

If you get the Error 0X8007007B when trying to enable system restore, do the following:

  1. Click the Start button, right click Computer, and click Properties
  2. In the left-hand column, click System Protection

  3. If prompted by UAC, click Continue
  4. Uncheck (C:) (Missing)

  5. You’ll be asked if you want to turn off protection, click Turn System Protection Off
  6. Press OK

System Restore will work again.
