Disable “Reopen Last Browsing Session” feature in IE8 [How To]
Internet Explorer 8 comes with a series of new features. One of those is the ability to reopen your last session. This can be a good feature whenever the browser crashes or you accidentally close the browser in the middle of a research where you have lots of open pages (some of which you don’t remember the direct url for). Of course there has always been the History list – but now you can retrieve your last session with one click (Found in the TOOLS menu).
However – there might be situations or security issues involved where you don’t want anyone to be able to do just that. Then you can turn off the “Last Browsing Session” all together.
NOTE! I didn’t manage to get this to work on my system, but It might be due to the fact that I run a 64-bit system. So in case it may help you, here is how:

Protect your Computer with a USB Flash Drive
It’s in all the movies and TV-series where a Government Employee log on a Secure Computer. He or She insert or remove a KeyCard to log on and off. Without the KeyCard the computer is rendered useless. If you like the idea, well …
Predator, let you do exactly that !

Use Shift-Button to Turn off Caps-Lock, XP
Are you still struggling with hitting CAPS-LOCK, when you were really trying to use the Shift-Button ? mAKING the text look all WEird ?
No, no, don’t bring out your hammer or get violent with your keyboard… That will only make things worse.
Back in the even older days when Typewriters ruled the office, you released the Caps-Lock button by pressing down the Shift-Button, thus it was never activated longer than needed.
This registry tweak will allow you to do just that. If you press Caps-Lock by mistake, then the Shift-button will shut it off for you. This should reduce the chances of you typing whole sentences or paragraphs SHOUTING at the reader.
NOTE!
This tip is for Windows XP users, but you might get it to work in newer versions of Windows as well
Change Your DNS with DNS Jumper
In this Article I’m going to talk about DNS, what it is, why it’s there and how you can benefit from changing yours. Also I’m going to tell you about a small but efficient tool that allows you to swap DNS servers on the fly: DnsJumper. Download Link inside the article!
NOTE!
I am writing this with the home user in mind; therefore, throughout this article, I’ll refer to all network activity or connections as “Internet Connection.” Even though it can also apply to networks in general, being in the office or at home (WLAN, WAN, LAN.) The usage of DNS within a Local Network can greatly increase or decrease your network experience, no matter where you sit.
Change Your DNS settings, Windows XP [How To]
If you want to improve your Internet Security, you might want to consider changing your DNS settings. If you are concerned with speed and are constantly tweaking your system to squeeze more juice out of your Internet connection, then you should also look to your DNS provider.
There are many different providers of DNS (Domain Name Servers) available on the Internet, from the one you get using your ISP, to Google, UltraDNS, OpenDNS etc.
In this tutorial I am going to show you how to change your DNS settings in XP, no matter which DNS provider you choose. In the tutorial I am however going to assume that you have set up an account at OpenDNS.
