folder options win7 Accessing Folder Options in windows 7 [Quick Tip]Back in windows XP setting folder options was always easy to find no matter which folder you were viewing or using. From the menu bar on top of each window you could find it in the View tab.

In Windows 7 that menu-bar isn’t there anymore (at least not appearing as default). A search on google will mostly tell you that you have to access the folder options through the Control Panel.

tcp ip 650x243 Fix Persistent Network Problems by Resetting TCP/IP in Windows 7 [How To]You may have experienced that from time to time your Wireless Connection just stops working or you get disconnected. Usually this is fixed by right-Clicking the WLan icon in the Tray and choose Troubleshoot.

What this does amongst other things is to reset your wireless connection using the ipconfig release and renew feature. And usually it will do the trick.

But if this is a reoccurring problem that means something else is wrong.

Your TCP/IP protocol might be corrupted and needs resetting. This is for some reason something you need to do yourself and (as far as I know) not being done by the Troubleshooter. Read the rest of this entry »

yourfonts 500x390 Create Your Own Handwritten FontIt being summer and all I thought I’d come up with something fun to be working on, while I sit indoors, waiting for the sun to come back on(line). A while back I was working on a design for some company diplomas, and I wanted a special font to use when typing the participant name(s), making it look handwritten.

I found a site that offers to convert your own handwritten letters to a usable TrueType Font. This site used to be free, but now they charge you $10 to actually download the finished font ($14,95 if you create a 200 character font). But if you really like to have your own unique typeface it might be worth the price. So if you’re an aspiring font creator or simply want a special font unlike any other, here’s how…
