Update: Having trouble with the comments system? Get help here.

Windows Guides has a new comment system and, to introduce you all to it, I’ve decided to run a competition. We’re giving away a fully licensed copy of  Windows 7 Home Premium to a random visitor who comments on this site between now (right now) and Sunday, September 13, 2009 @ 11 P.M. EST (GMT-5.)

What Do I Win?

Windows 7 Home Premium (Retail: $199.99)

The competition ends on Sunday, September 13, 2009 @ 11 P.M. EST (GMT-5.) The winner will receive their copy of Windows 7 on or around October 22, 2009. There are no geographical restrictions in this competition; all entrants are welcome. I will contact the winner, by private message, through the comment system’s private message feature. The winner will also be announced on this site too.

How Do I Win?

Just comment on any post on this site (including this one.) Multiple entries are okay and will increase your chances of winning. I will not consider spammy comments for entry; however, feedback, questions, answers, thoughts, and anything else that adds to the discussion is welcome. Good examples of comments:

I first tried Iobit’s Security 360 a couple of months ago when it was in Beta. It found a trojan that Windows Defender and SpyBot failed to find!

This is a nice little program. I actually like it better than Q10. I had also tried out Jarte, but I’ve decided to use Write Monkey after trying it out.

Thanks for sharing it, Rich! :)

New Comment System

Note: Old comments are not showing up. The migration process is underway and your earlier comments will return. Comments imported.

I don’t want to over complicate things, but a few pointers on the new comment system:

  • You’ll need to authenticate using Facebook, Twitter, OpenID, etc. (Why? Too much spam otherwise.)
  • No email address required (If you use an existing account like Twitter.)
  • You can add a custom avatar to your profile.

  • You can add any websites to your profile (no adult or illegal sites please.)
