Update 1/31/2012: As MegaUpload was taken down, I moved the font zip to mintywhite servers (and got by the 20 MB file limit.) Please only download if you want a ton of fonts. The file is quite large (79.3 MB) but hopefully it’s quite convenient (plus, all the applicable licenses and credit is included for the authors that worked so hard on these fonts.)
Many readers have asked me to compile all the fonts, from this website, into one megapack. Today, James, a reader of Windows Guides gave me the push I’ve needed and I put them all together.

Extract the Megapack to Your Hard Drive
To extract this zip files either double click on it or, while you’re at it, start using a great zip tool like 7-Zip. Right click the file and click 7-Zip > Extract Here.
How to Install Fonts
If you are making a PowerPoint presentation, poster, graphic, or anything that requires typography, you may find some of these fonts useful. There many free fonts out there but it is often hard to find good ones as there is so much choice and so many fonts are not very high quality. In this collections, I’ve compiled the best free fonts out there and provided direct download links to them so you can start using them straight away. If you are unsure of how to install a font, learn here.

Is that all right if you put these fonts in .zip folders?
Because I don’t want to download a program just to use these fonts. (Although this looks like a great collection!)

Ben, most zip programs will extract this zip file (7 zip just happens to be the best.) Which zip software do you use?
there’s a built-in .zip exractor in every version of Windows since like the beginning of time, and macs also have built-in .zip extraction.You don’t need 7-zip or winrar to extract .zip files!
And this is a windows blog! pfft!
These downloads are not in standard .zip format. Windows does not natively handle multi-part zip files…
I used to use Mininova but since it went legit (which I’m in favor of), the traffic is so low that it just doesn’t seem worth it any more :( Plus I’d have to seed the torrent too and I’ve never been a fan of uploading to torrent sites (even though it’s completely legal for the way I use it…)

Even on 56kbps, 20MB chunks take < 48 minutes. The majority of this site (according to analytics) are on connections that will download these files in <1 minute. Do we really need resume functionality? :)
yeas! and it takes 44 Seconds for starting Download ;)

I downloaded the packs, but there’s only one font in each pack. I’m using windows 7. anybody know what my problem is?

I am having the same issue, I followed instructions perfectly. only get 1 font. Windows xp

Thanks so much for this collection. And seeing the font samples you have done is awesome! As a former font-junkie, I see you have a link to some other collections
here (like 43 and 44) that have no download link. And clicking on a font sample that I would like to download does nothing.
How can I download fonts from some of those collections (and where are the other forty-some collections?)? I see a few that I would really like to have.

I assume they are all legit to free download fonts. If so, maybe sharing it in your Dropbox works better, since Dropbox would handle all traffic needed. Just a thought.

Here’s a command to quickly extract all archives:
for %f in ( *.zip ) do 7z.exe x %f -aos
You can then use Explorer to group by type and get rid of all the junk leaving just the fonts.

Thats a pointless thing to say that will just waste time :/
and install winrar so you can just double click on the file and browse the contents and just extract what you want
will installing fonts solve this error “progengine2guiBasestdGuiRender.cpp,327: No fonts found”? got this while trying to run a game

7zip let’s you extract multiple archives by highlighting them, right clicking, and selecting the extract here option under the 7zip menu.
Try extracting the Ttf file to a folder on your PC and then open it.
