Breadcrumbs is a technical way of saying “buttons you can click to navigate to parent folders“, which is a somewhat technical way of saying “useful navigation“. With breadcrumbs, you can click on any folder that is part of the hierarchy of the folder you are currently in.

When you get used to using breadcrumbs, you find you save a lot of time navigating through your files. Here you may download a program named ‘Explorer Breadcrumbs‘ that gives you this functionality in Windows XP.
