I’m having problems installing certain .ttf fonts. I’ve tried several times with method #2 but the system says that it’s impossible to install the font. If I right click on the font the option “install” doesn’t even appear. Can you tell me if there’s anything else that I can do?

    • http://richr.org/ Rich

Is it just one font? Perhaps you could re-download it as it may be corrupted. If it’s not corrupted (i..e when you double click on it, the preview works), let us know. (Also, it doesn’t hurt to double check if it already got installed somehow.)

I tried both methods, both resulted in same way.
“The file ‘D:MylaiTSC.ttf’ does not appear to be a valid font.”
Yeah, i’ve checked the fonts folder, its not installed.
The file is not corrupted, and is not in a zip. Any suggestions?

Prashanth, does the font work on a different PC?

      • Prashanth14abc

There was problem with the code in the ttf file. I also found that the particular font was not upto my requirements, hence i don’t need to try fix it anymore.
BTW i tried to use other fonts just for checking, and it was working fine.
Anyway thanks for helping me out Rich.
