Remove Outlook Email Attachments & Keep Messages
Windows Vista Guides, Windows XP Guides Add commentsMany of you may have mail quotas at work or you may simply want to keep on top of things. In this guide you’ll learn how to remove attachments from e-mails, while keeping the e-mail in your inbox.
Saving the Attachment
To save the attachment, right click on the e-mail (see figure 1) and click Save As.
(For more than one attachment, open the e-mail and click File > Save Attachments > Save All )
Removing the Attachment
Right click on the e-mail (see figure 1) and click Remove.

Now you wont hit your quota so quickly; if you do this enough, your archiving times will decrease significantly.
