You may have software on your computer that you don’t want [insert account user type here] accessing. Windows Vista lets you block access to programs – for individual user accounts on your computer. Learn, in this guide, how to set up controls to restrict access to specific programs on your computer.

Restrict Access to Programs
To restrict access to specific programs on your computer, do the following:
- Make sure you are logged in as the administrator of the computer
- Press the Start button and select Control Panel
- Under User Accounts and Family Safety, click Set up parental controls for any user
- If prompted, (type your password and) select Continue

Click the account you want to add parental controls to
- Click on Allow and block specific programs
- Select [username] can only use programs I allow
- Check the programs that can be used
- Press OK when you are done
