I’ll keep this short and sweet: the site is now ad supported
Why?
Hosting costs are up I don’t get any revenues from this site. I simply can’t afford to keep the site running and it will go down by May 1st 2009 if I do nothing about it now. I hope you all understand this change.
I don’t want to see them

Don’t worry, your site is great and I do understand your reasons… Keep it up the good work

In fact, I appreciate that you have put up advertising. It helps you keep the site up and it helps us with great content you publish. So it’s a win win for us. I hope the rest of the readers agree.

Don’t be so hard on yourself. Everyone’s gotta make money!

I would say there is nothing wrong abt advertising, we all should support the same. When it comes to paying the hosting bills its justified according to me.
Keep up with it and keep the site going…good bless www.mintywhite.com

Where? If there are ads on this website you put them in the best spots because I can’t seem to find them.
Angie
Thanks, Rich. I don’t see a problem with it and it’s only ads by Google. My friends and I recently let our MBA message board go back to having ads on it because the annual community support fees were too expensive. Your website is still awesome!
Rich
Thanks for all your support

With a site as rich in information as this one, it’s a wonder it’s taken this long to help pay the bandwidth costs alone. I can easily say that the addition of ads are perfectly A-OK in this reader/contributor’s opinion..!

Your site looks great!!! Keep up the great work whatever you have to do
Roger
Yes, but all means, I am happy to see adverts here if its a choice between that and no site at all.
Great site Rich, have a beer from me!
Steve
This site is worth it. Also, the ads are unobtrusive.

No problem friend. Just keep up what you are doing. After all, the content is what matters.
Ben
No problem, just keep on bringing great guides. Besides, I have Adblock
Plus.

Oh man…I wish I was able to help you monetarily, but i’m just a poor redneck in Alabama

Why do you ask about understanding? You do what you want to do (host one of the best customization sites ever seen and allow ads) and we do what we do best (download from this great site)!!!!
What would I do without mintywhite!??
Nicholas
I think this is very reasonable, but I would like to ask what filter subscription removes the ads on your site?
Rich
@Nicholas - I use EasyList (USA)
Steve
I am sure that the adverts you will attract will not only provided a revenue stream but will serve to enhance the site providing they have a technical bent…

I will deal with the ads. Your site is worth it.
You have an AWESOME site and if you go to paid membership, I for one would pay to be a member.
You put ALOT of work into this site so folks like me not only learn but make friends as well.
Thank you!!!!

Don’t worry. We see ads everywhere. Not a problem at all.
Manoj

I do feel you did not expect such a popular response from readers when we first found this site.Advertising proves you are now in the big leagues. Be proud that 3 college students have progressed so quickly.CONTENT,FORMAT,STYLE,PRACTICALITY-you have it all.Glad to be here.
Rich
@RuthE - I didn’t expect this at all. I just started this site as a hobby — mainly for my wife and her sister to have a reference for things to do with Windows. My, how things have come along. You are all amazing!
