google wave logo [EXPIRED] Not on Google Wave Yet? Get an InviteOkay, so you are probably tired of hearing about Google Wave this week; and that’s okay because this is the last time I’ll be distributing invites. This week I’ve shared (with the help of over 100 mintywhite readers) over 1,000 Google Wave invites. I have no idea how long this has taken me but it’s been a lot of fun and I can already see people are making use of Google Wave in many ways.

The offer for a Google Wave invite expires on Sunday, December 20, 2009 @ 5PM ET. If you want an invite, please follow the instructions below:

How Do I Get An Invite?

Please note: I am no longer distributing invites.

So that I can process the many requests coming through, please follow these instructions carefully:

  1. Go here, click Google Wave Invite Request*, and send your email (no message required.)
  2. Be patient as I process your request and get you an invite.

Invites will be sent on a first come, first serve basis.

* If you have no default mail application, please send an email to the address listed below Google Wave Invite Request.

What is Google Wave?

Google Wave is an online communication and collaboration tool that makes real-time interactions more seamless — in one place, you can communicate and collaborate using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.

A wave is a conversation with multiple participants — participants are people added to a wave to discuss and collaborate on its content. Participants can reply any time and anywhere within a wave, and they can edit content and add more participants as a wave develops. It’s also possible to rewind waves with the playback functionality, to see what happened, and when.

What is a Wave?

A wave is equal parts conversation and document.
People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.

A wave is shared.
Any participant can reply anywhere in the message, edit the content and add participants at any point in the process. Then playback lets anyone rewind the wave to see who said what and when.

A wave is live.
With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time.
