sharon85603 - Hi, Well it's from the same people as Advanced SystemCare [Iobit], which a lot of people on here use. I used the Beta of Iobit Security 360 a while back and found it be as useful as Windows Defender, Malwarebytes' etc -It's not a Beta now, the Final was released as of yesterday and you can get it here: http://www.iobit.com/
You won't be disappointed with it,am sure. :)
Or read this first before you decide .... http://www.mintywhite.com/tech/freeware/sec ... l-utility/

I believe it works pretty well (I used it for a month in beta.)

sharon85603 - So did you try out Iobit Security 360? If so, did you find it useful?

I haven't had time to do it yet, but will let you know when and how it went. Thank you for asking.

Sincerely,
Sharon :D

sharon85603 - I tried Security 360-Final out today, mainly to see if it had changed much from the Beta 1 and 2 versions that I had used a while back. The Betas I used must have been close to the "finished article", as the Final version seems just the same to me. A quick scan took about 8 minutes, found a few cookies and a full scan took about 15 minutes [on my XP-Pro pc]. - Haven't tried it on Vista yet, but I guess I can probably double [or triple!!] those scan times for Vista!!
But when I first used the Beta version a while back, it DID find a trojan that Windows Defender and SpyBot failed to find, unless it was a "false positive" ..... !?! ;)

I wanted to ask also if the fact that I have Vista and have installed Live One Care; will that matter?

Thank you! :D

sharon85603 - Well no, it doesn't matter whatsoever that you have Vista ..... or the fact that you have Windows Live Onecare for that matter. - I am using Microsoft Security Essentials [the new replacement for Windows Live OneCare] on Vista, W7 and XP-Pro, I downloaded Iobit Security 360 on all three today. There should be no conflict whatsoever between OneCare and Iobit Security 360, the latter isn't a "real time protection" antivirus, like your Live OneCare is.
By the way, when your OneCare runs out [which you paid for I presume?] then here's the FREE replacement for OneCare: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Antivirus/ ... ials.shtml
["Son of" OneCare! ;)] ...............
