I just recently bought Win7 ultimate and Installed it. It took about half an hour including 8 restarts. Is this normal? Please answer.

In short... NO!!! Even on older hardware, Windows 7 installs in about 20 minutes with one restart. What kind of system are you installing on? Specs?

Whenever i install, it takes around 30mins to finish installation and normally (for me) reboots about 4 times. 8 times seems quite excessive! :?

guys, I have an HP Pavilion model a600f

4 gb of DDR2 ram
AMD Phenom quad core 3.1 ghz
DVD reader/DVD writer
NVidia Gforce 6150SE Nforce 430 ( 1 gig graphic card!)
500 gb harddrive

I dual booted mac, Ubuntu, Vista, XP, Windows 7 RC, Windows 7 Official.
