hi there!

just modified my orb...great tutorial...easy as 1-2-3!

im also getting the black square when i hover over the start button...could you explain how to get rid of this please?

also, windows seems to put the icons with a little transparency by default...so the wallpaper kinda messes the icons up...any way to get over this?

Looks really mysterious. love it. anyway, how do you make one with any PNG? I wanna make the start button with an apple logo on my windows 7. Please tell me how. thanks.

You have to use .bmp images for the start orb, .png will not work.
I wrote a tutorial not long ago which covers installing custom start orbs.

If u have a png,convert to bmp,and use gimp or something similar.Easiest way is to place ur image over the top of the ones of an already made start button,saves u lining them up urself.I'm sure u can work it out urself from that.That's how i did my faces ones at the beginning of this topic

Right click the image and "Save As...", it may need converting to BMP though ;)
