Yaba Daba Do everyone. I was wondering if anyone has heard about what the price of Windows 7 might be?? Do you think it might be cheaper with more competition out there??

There's no official word on Windows 7 pricing yet, although it is expected very soon. I'm not sure how expensive it will be; now that I think of it I don't care, I can probably get it for free through my university. I imagine it will be something like Vista was with it being cheaper as an upgrade and expensive for a standalone OS disc. Maybe they will follow suit with Apple and make the upgrade $30-40 instead of the usual 80-100, and the full version be around $200 (for Ultimate or Professional). But alas, it will probably be way more expensive than that.

The only downside to the current upgrade prices for Home Premium and Pro ($49/$99) is that they are only good on pre-orders until July 11. If you happen to have a Microcenter store near you, they're offering an even better deal on a walk-in coupon thing they're doing ($39/$89). The same expiration date applies...
