How to get Customized E-mail Addresses

So, I take it a lot of your family use e-mail. I’m sure you’ll agree that it is a nightmare remembering a long string of letters & numbers that we call an e-mail address. Eventually, it just gets you going mad! How about when you want to make a new e-mail, and johnsmith@gmail.com’s taken, and you have to resort to 97john364smith17@gmail.com.

This can all change to a simple address, such as john@thesmiths.net if you buy your own domain, which is very cheap. You can even import all your old mail & contacts, and set up mail forwarding. Follow these steps below to do this. Please note that I’m using 123-reg.co.uk, which is based in the UK. If you’re not from the UK, you may prefer to use a host based in your country. In the US, for example, go to godaddy.com, dreamhost.com. but the main steps that I’ll show you should be very similar.

command prompt Cant Delete a File? Use the Command Prompt [How To]Have you ever experienced that windows won’t allow you to delete a file, presumably because some service or dll is still using it ? Even when you know for a fact that it’s not in use ? Or maybe you have tried to delete a folder, but you couldn’t because a “File in the selected folder is still in use by Windows” ?

Oh, I can hear you: “yes, but I use the “take ownership” function that I’ve added to my Context menu”. ALAS, Sometimes not even that will work – what then ? Do you have to Reboot your computer to be able to delete that file ?

Earlier, Harry had an article about the Command Prompt (read it here) and his top ten commands. One of those were the command we are looking to use now: DELETE (DEL).

Command Prompt – Your backup Operating System!

Have you ever had an issue with your computer? Has your Windows ever been corrupt, and you need to wipe the system? I have definitely been in that situation, but what can you do – you really, really need your data, but can’t have it!? Well, I use Command Prompt with that in mind. You can just stick in a Windows Vista/7 DVD, click Repair Computer, and you’re on CMD (Command Prompt). Then, you can back everything up with a flash drive with a few commands!
