DEXPOT Gives You Multiple Desktops with Individual Settings
If you are one of the unlucky … ahem.. few, who don’t have the space or wifes approval to buy a second (or third) monitor for your desktop computer, then this is definitively for you.
OR, let’s say that you have connected your computer to your projector or TV and the TV-Driver doesn’t support your 1900×1280 (or similar) screen resolution, but a mere 800×600. What do you do ? Switch resolution each and every time you mirror your desktop ?
OR, Maybe, maybe you just want to have different desktop settings for individual programs and tasks …
DEXPOT, will let you do all this and much more on 20 virtual Desktops at once!

Help us improve Windows Guides and Win a prize!
We here on mintywhite, spend a lot of time writing about what interest us, and hopefully we succeed writing something that interests you as well. The other day I started thinking about how I, as a writer, could improve and how this could become an even better site – for you. With that in mind, HOW may we improve?
- What kind of topics would you like to see more of?
- What kind of topics would you like to see less of?
- Is there some special software we should review?
- How about our competitions? More? Less?
- Tell us what you think.
The Suggestion Box
I’ve asked Rich to add a new Sticky Topic in our Forum, called: The Suggestion Box. This is the place for you to add your comments, ideas, suggestions about our site; be assured that every suggestion will be taken seriously, and none of them will end up in the shredder.
Win a prize!
To launch this new feature, we have 5 more Windows licenses of WinXdvd Ripper (Read about it here) and about 10 more MAC licenses for you our Readers. So, the next five Fridays, we will pick the best suggestion out of the box and reward it with a license of your choice.

Lock your Keyboard and Mouse, Not your Computer
If you have cats or other pets (and kids) running loose around your house, you might have experienced that when you go away for a few minutes, you return to a document where they have “typed” their own indecipherable language. Might be a fun read, at first. But if this get to be an annoying situation, what do you do ?
Lock your Computer ?
Well, yes, you can do that. It’s just that, it too gets quite annoying over time. It takes too much time to “recover” from the Locked State. Even using the Windows-Key + L combination. If only you could type the Windows-Key + L combination to Unlock as well (Microsoft; if you’re reading this, it’s a free tip for you).
Lock Only your Keyboard and/or Mouse
I have come across a small freeware that let you not only lock your keyboard and Mouse, but also lets you decide HOW locked down they should be, while keeping the rest of your computer Un-Locked.

RB-Tray Minimizes Your Programs to the System Tray
Sometimes I would like to minimize a running application to the Tray instead of the common Taskbar position. A quick search on the net gave me a few solutions to choose from. The one I ended up with is a small freeware utility that is totally invisible and has both 32-bit and 64-bit support.
It’s a small script that add Right-Click Functionality to the minimize button, while keeping the Normal Setting using the Left-Click.
Listen to your devices on Windows 7 [How To]
I’m sure you have a MP3-Player of sorts. Most players have a mini USB plug that allows you to connect it to a computer. But what If it doesn’t ? Or what IF you don’t want to use any software players ?
Windows 7 have a feature called: “Listen To Device”. What it does is let you connect your mp3-player (iPod, Zune, mobile phone, etc.) to the Line-In port (using the Jack Contact), and directly pass the music through to the Computers Speakers. Without using any software player.
Here’s how:
