Jabra: One Headset for Your Mobile, Desk, and Soft Phone

At Windows Guides, we usually review software, however after discovering this Jabra system and its integration abilities with a different range of devices and their PC Suite, I was so impressed that I decided to blog about it!

PROS: Intuitive touch screen, headset is lightweight and has a great wireless range, easy to set up, useful updates, add-ons can easily be added.CONS: The price is quite substantial (even though it is worth every penny/cent as it’s so useful!)

VERDICT: An intuitive product with great sound quality, range and brilliant software.

Windows 8 Available by the End of October 2012

Microsoft announced Windows 8 will reach general availability by the end of October after releasing to manufacturing (RTM) on the first week of August. Will you be upgrading to Windows 8 (from Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7) for $39.95 when it comes out?

Just like all butterflies were once cocoons, all Firefox users were once Internet Explorer users. They switched from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox to seek better security and privacy online. If you are a Firefox user then you already have a secure browser. Firefox, like other browsers, also provides a private browsing mode which you can toggle on and off using the hotkey Ctrl + Shift + P. Your online activity while inside the private browsing mode is not stored on your computer. There would be no history, cookies, recently viewed sites etc. if you use the private browsing mode. But, if you want to boost Firefox privacy all the time, without having to switch to this privacy mode now and again, then you can tinker with some of the settings in Firefox. This articles explains ten different ways to make your Firefox even more private for your use. The methods explained in this article would surely give you better privacy in your Firefox but I have not mentioned any security related settings.

ClipCube is Simple, Portable Clipboard Manager

PROS: Simple interface and easy to use. Portable. Consumes low memory.

CONS: No minimize option—you can close it to the system tray (or minimize all windows with Winkey+D) but you’ll have to show it in your system tray if you’re using Windows 7 or 8.

VERDICT: This is part of my default toolkit and I highly recommend it if you’re tired of copying, saving, and trying to find snippets of text all the time.
