LiberKey LogoPROS: Search function to find your favorite app. Works on most thumb drives. Effortless, though slow, installation. Convenience on the go.

CONS: While necessary, installation can take over an hour. Difficult to customize which programs you want to see on the list.

VERDICT: LiberKey is a great program that can be used as a toolkit on the go. If you help friends with their computer’s, this will take you a long way. Just like any Thumb drive program bundle, you get a lot of what you don’t need and are sometimes left without your favorite programs, which you’ll have to install separately.

Create a Windows 7 System Repair Disc [How To]

Posted by Rich On October - 19 - 200915 COMMENTS

Please note: You cannot use the disc to install Windows 7 from scratch or reinstall Windows.

Looking for Windows Vista instructions? Create a Windows Vista Recovery Disc. Don’t have a disc drive and need to make a USB version?

Burn a Windows 7 Repair Disc

To burn your own Windows repair disc:

1. Click Start, type create and click Create a System Repair Disc

2. Insert a CD/DVD, choose the DVD drive in which the disc resides and click Create Disc

Once the disc is finished, I recommend booting from the disc to test it—before you really need it.

Windows Forums on the iPhone 1If you have an iPhone or iPod touch, you can now use Windows Forums on it. In this guide, you’ll learn how to set your iPhone up to browse the forums.

There was some previous interest for Windows Forums on the iPhone and to be honest, I was hoping something like this would come along because I didn’t want to customize the forums myself only to find a professional solution was in the works. I have no idea how long this app has been out, but after a search for “phpbb” (the software on which Windows Forums runs) on the Apple App Store, this was the only solution I could find.

Please note: In this guide, I show you the Lite version of the app. You can buy the normal version for $0.99 USD, which enables private messaging and removes the “Posted with TouchBB Lite” message at the bottom of each post (well, probably, but I haven’t tried.) Read the rest of this entry »
